OUR NEW COMMUNICATION SKILLS

March 19, 2007 9:18 PM

A shot of confetti to you! Sharing between the subject and viewer!

You guys! I'm so excited about all the new ways we can interact here on the internet! First and foremost there is the way where you, dear reader, could purchase some music and packaging and I will put it in a package and sent it to you! Direct contact! I take pride in this form. I love filling the orders. Writing a few words. Writing your namde down. Signing each package. Proving that we are real over here.

There is also, this new technology form of Rodcasts! We have made a couple in the past. They are our venue of officially getting mini-mixes to you. WE MADE A NEW ONE! Plus, now we have it so you can totally subscribe to the podcast! What this means is that when we post a new podcast your itunes will automatically download the new one and it will be sitting there waiting for you like a wonderful present. You should do it! Subscribe, I mean. We will also be using the rodcast to bring you exclusive mp3s and interviews and other tender morsels. The new rodcast is called Bracketeria Busters. Referring to the States Rights Records office recently killer affliction with debilitating sinus infections and joy in the beating of those infections, the spring, and college basketball! There are some super great jams in there like 2(!) songs from a new obsession of ours, Vampire Weekend, a secret new (beyond his new album) YACHT jam, some cool raps, and a great live song from our old obsessions Best Friends Forever. So yeah! SHARING!

Now it's your turn! This front page/blog guy now has COMMENTS! That's right, you can now jaw back at me. You might want to say things like "less jawing, more cool music, dorkface!" or "your new rodcast is wonderful!" or "did you see the new SNL? What was the DEAL with THAT WHOLE THING?" It's really open.

Also, if you ever see any of our wonderful artists performing live and you take a photo of them you can put it on Flickr and give it the tag "statesrightslive" and then it will automatically show up on our Events page. LIKE MAGIC!

LOOK AT YOU! Now you are making this website.

Well, back to the music businessing.

Oh, but first, Jona put up a cool first version of Trudi's video for "Healthy Student" which is a song from the soon to be released split YACHT/Lucky Dragons 12" where all the songs are made up exclusively of Nirvana sample.

Also, we got the final master and art for Paper's album "As As" and we are so pumped. So that will be ready soon, and that will be quickly followed up by "Grown Zone" which is a double disc compilation that just got finished being sequenced! HOLLA! Bring on the interaction!
